Public health is health. It’s not glamorous, it’s not ‘big ticket’ medicine, but without the basics like healthy housing, it’s very hard for us GPs to do much that is useful. Please pass the alcohol bill next 👍🏼
Excellent results from our healthy housing initiative. Our improvements to low income homes is preventing kids from going to hospital (⬇️20%), keeping them in school (🆙3%) and their parents in jobs (🆙4%). We inherited a housing crisis but we’re throwing everything at fixing it.
