While this is true, I encourage students to use this as a comfort when accruing student loans, and not as a primary motivator to pursue a career in medicine. Our primary duty is to our patients.
There are very few careers that can match the long-term earning potential of being a physician.

The most impressive part? They got a lot of questions right and could logic their way through things! They learned basics quickly and applied to different clinical scenarios.

Today I taught a class on clinical tuberculosis to freshmen at @JohnsHopkins. Epi, clinical presentation, work up and diagnosis, pathology and radiology. They also got to practice lung exam skills auscultation and percussion. I think they liked it. Wish I took pics! @GUMedicine.
