On Friday, Year 4 led a tour of their recent learning. The children captivated the audience with work ranging from equivalent fractions and French vocabulary to descriptive writing, living things, and even Mozart on the glockenspiels - amazing work!

Last week, Year 6 introduced their ‘Waterwalls’ to their Reception buddies. After designing and constructing them last half term with their buddies in mind, they invited Reception to help test whether the water would flow from top to bottom. The product testing was a success!

Year 2 have had a busy few weeks in Maths, learning to measure in centimetres and metres and creating block diagrams, tally charts, and pictograms - take a look!

Last week, Pre-School explored their ‘Journeys’ theme, talking about how they travel, learning about old transport getting creative. They built with Magna Tiles & Cogs & Gears, hunted for the number 2, and braved the rain in their splash suits to jump in puddles & catch raindrops

As part of our recognition of Children in Need, each class were challenged to complete 25 acts of kindness. Each half term we are focussing on one of our school values and this half term we are looking at ‘Kind’

On Sunday, our Head Students gathered at the church in Edlesborough to take part in a remembrance service. The head students laid a wreath in honour of all those who had fought in the wars to ensure that we had a future.

Reception would like to thank the school & FOES for the money spent on their Play builder equipment. They've loved using it in different ways including an obstacle course and building different types of vehicles. Here are some of the pictures they've captured over the term!

Year 3 have been very artistic continuing their learning on ‘Line’ and continuing to look at other prints by Hokusai (other than ‘The Great Wave’, focusing on the series of ‘Mount Fuji. They used polytile blocks that they'd previously made to print using rollers and printing ink.

Pre-School have been busy learning all about 'Seasons' and the changes that happen, specifically around Autumn. They've gotten very into the Autumnal spirit - take a look! 🍁

Reception have been busy reading ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’. Last week they went on their own sensory walk, touching and describing the different settings. In Maths they've been learning about numbers 1-15 and how to make these numbers in different ways. Great work Reception!

Year 3 have been enjoying their unit on Hercules and have been acting out the story. They have used some great descriptive phrases to describe the Hydra and the Nemean Lion, focusing on using compound and complex sentences!

Pre-school have been very focused on their 'Owl Babies' book and last week painted some fantastic owls. They also painted their salt dough cakes from the previous week and made some clay owls too. A very creative week! 🖌️🎨

Year 2 have had a busy first few weeks back at school. In Art we have been inspired by Kandinsky and created our own pieces of art using primary colours and then mixing these to make secondary colours.
