As Californians face rising costs from heat, fires, and pollution, the quiet rollback of health and safety laws fast-tracks industrial projects and weakens protections for vulnerable communities and endangered species. We deserve better from our leaders.

How we develop in and around communities matters-- especially as wildfires, extreme heat, flooding, and droughts intensify. It can either protect or put communities at risk. And that's why environmental protection laws are so important. @MaryCreasman_ said it best.

.@MaryCreasman_ is right! . Communities, especially the ones who are subjected to living with industrial development, pollution, and heavy traffic in their neighborhoods, are left vulnerable with these new public review exemptions. More here:

Trump's Big, Ugly Bill will make you sicker, poorer, & less safe. This bill cuts healthcare for 2M Californians, takes food off the table for 888K people, & kills 40K+ clean energy jobs. Tell your Rep: vote NO on this bill that hurts working families to help the ultra-wealthy.

Los Angeles just became the LARGEST city in CA to support the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act: a bill that would make polluters cover the massive cost of climate damage. It's time for polluters to pay their fair share to protect Californians & make our state more affordable!

The Supreme Court limited nationwide injunctions in the case of Trump v. CASA, Inc. Let’s be clear: this decision makes it harder for the public to challenge federal overreach. Full statement in bio.

Today marks Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, as it marks the ending of the enslavement of African Americans in the United States in 1865. And on the 160th anniversary, let’s be clear: freedom must include the right to breathe clean air, live safely, and fight back.
