Why I haven’t lost a cow to thieves. When I was starting my farm last year, my biggest worry as a young farmer was losing a cow to theft. At least every farmer knows how this feels. So I looked around and bought a 4G solar camera and installed it at the kraal.

Why i can never keep my money in the bank.
This is what i do with extra cash and it works for me.
I buy these small boys at 800-950k each from neighbors. With 10m you can get 10-12 bulls. I take them to my farm, inject them with 20ml of ivermectin-multivitamin mixture.

This bull escaped to a nearby garden and ate too much maize grain.
Bloat, diarrhea and dullness followed.
This farmer called me to help after 12 hours of trying on his own.
I took a simple long tube and baking soda.
I saved it’s life.
One year ago, I left for isreal to study dairy farming. Am privileged to say I’ve been able to practice on the best dairy farm in isreal and finally graduated. I can’t wait to share this knowledge and ideas back home😊
I was born on the farm. My parents sold cows to educate me. I chose to study everything cows. Spent a year in Israel studying cows. My friends think am obsessed, am just strategic. And now I own a farm🐄💯

This farmer asked me to find him good heifers for his new farm. We bought these 10 in-calf heifers, 4m ugx each.
He will be getting calves and milk after 2 months. Good business
I bought this cow in January this year. Apparently the former owner wanted to sell for slaughter saying she wasn’t fertile. I begged him to sell to me, I was willing to gamble. I put her on a mineral lick, dewormed using ivermectin. She got on heat and my bull finessed her.
The camera systems we are installing in farms are going to revolutionize the industry. Imagine if you failed to travel to the farm to spray cows due to work issues. Then you sit in office and actually see work done while giving instructions in real time on your smartphone.
AI technicians have been making breeding difficult. They don’t come in time.
Now farmers can start breeding on their own using this device. We are bringing technology in farming.
Reasons why farming is a full time job‼️.
Constant uncertainties.
Found this guy chocking on a meter of polythene. Took me 20 mins to pull it out of its rumen.
I saved it’s life
A farmer in my community called me today morning for help. His calf got a fracture on its hind limb just above the hock.
I used this technique I learnt from isreal. Hoping for the best.
Back in 2021, in COVID19 lockdown, seeking an escape from boredom I joined twitter. Little did I know this would lead me to becoming “the 'Cowboy'”on Twitter, sharing my passion for dairy farming and the world of cows.
Let me take you through my transformative ride!

The Israel holstein cows are some of the highest milk producing cattle. I witnessed cows averaging 90L per day.
Now we’ve been working on a project to import Israel semen to improve on our dairy cattle genetics in Uganda.
How many farmers would be interested in these genetics?
Imagine having cattle tags that would let you track, locate and hold information about your cows all time on your phone. We are bringing this technology here.
Start up capital.
At a very young age, capital is the hardest part second to sustaining the business. People have ideas but no experience, no money to invest.
This is how I got startup capital to start my farm at 24!

A son of a cattle keeper has graduated. Let’s congratulate my brother for having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. With this knowledge, farming as a business is in our hands now.
I took this picture while in isreal 2021. There was war going on. It was too cold outside, working for long hours. My attention was focused on learning and it all paid off.
It’s a maize harvest season.
Cows and goats mostly die from feeding on too much maize grains in villages. It’s hard to completely keep livestock away from this mess. Farmers are almost helpless when this happens.
Don’t panic, here’s a simple solution. Baking powder.
Fencing work ongoing on my new start up farm. After fencing I’ll be tilling the land, plant a variety pastures, secure water, put up structures…….
Will be sharing all the progress for those interested.
I have met many farmers consulting on how to turn their farms into serious businesses.
They have two common problems; They want to live in town, they sell their milk cheaply.
