another thing is that i feel some scenes would've hit harder for me if they were. executed better?. i.e. chasca's scene of outrage was supposed to be an intense emotional moment for her character, but ill admit it felt a little corny in the moment due to how it was presented.

it really disappointed me because i wanted to see so much of her, but it just felt like she didn't get as much deeper development compared to characters like kachina or even ororon. she's the only character in the main story i felt i COULDN'T care about, which is crazy to say.

THAT BEING SAID, i still had glaring issues (mostly stemming from my own expectations). one being iansan. i had a lot of expectations for her for so long, but in the end i didn't really feel attached to her at all. compared to all the others it felt like she was just. there.

the fact that he was 100% dedicated to saving natlan at any cost was already a flag. by the time they revealed he was carrying all those souls i think it was proper that he became the sacrifice to not only finish the duty of protecting natlan, but to also free himself & his mates.

(HOT TAKE) i know a lot of people also REALLY didn't like how they handled the captain, and even though i expected them to let mavuika fully sacrifice herself, i wasn't too mad with their decision to let capitano do it instead, because they were kinda building him up to do that.

and even in death there were some who couldn't be at peace. it left a mark on me seeing how helpless citlali and xilonen felt not being able to save all of the lost spirits. that showed that no matter how hard you try, nothing can really prepare you for the cost of war.

showing how devastating it all was, even for a nation that had so much knowledge, power, and experience against the abyss. the fact that even with how much they prepared, it still cost them so much just to achieve victory, with the death count being in the thousands by the end-.

i think they did really well with the the buildup and tension around the looming disaster of war and how it affected natlan as a whole. personally, my favorite parts came from the showing of the full scale abyss invasion and even the aftermath of the battle-.

finally finished the natlan archon quests and honestly it. wasn't really that bad?. like the way ppl talked about the story (especially Act V) would make you think it was the worst thing ever written, but i actually somewhat enjoyed it. even with the issues i have with it.
