i am begging you all to take a single legal ethics course!! i promise that the concept of defending people’s rights being at the core of why we have a right to legal counsel and not proving innocence/guilt nor reducing sentences will make sense. look at the bigger picture.
@Lemommeringue People do confess to their lawyers all the time though, so if you KNOW the rapist is guilty and still help them get a light sentence / help them get off completely, that's extremely fucked up.
