I was very sorry to learn of the death of Bernie Marsden, whom I had the honour to promote several times over the past few years in Buckingham. Indeed he recorded the album ‘Going To My Hometown’ at one of my shows. A very funny guy, great company and a brilliant guitarist.

I couldn't resist this last minute show with the wonderfully named Jake Xerxes Fussell who will be playing for us in a weeks time I was blown away by his take on old and not so old US folk songs. His guitar sound is totally unique and his voice has a strange yearning quality.

This is reminder that we have the lovely Laura Cantrell playing for us next Monday (10th) at the Wesley Memorial Chapel. She will be playing songs from her first album for nearly a decade entitled "Just Like A Rose'".

I am delighted to announce that we have up and coming star Kassi Velazza, about whom there is a huge buzz, playing for us at the Listening Room @ Cross Keys, Thame on Thursday, October 19th. Tickets at £13.00 will go on sale at 9 am this coming Friday July 7th.

Its back! Tingestock has returned after a three year hiatus, and been reborn as SON OF TINGESTOCK. The Village Hall has had a makeover but retaining those great acoustics and we are in for over five hours of great live music.

I have been trying to get Alynda Segarra, front woman for the iconic band Hurray For The Riff Raff, back to play in Oxford again for literally the last decade and have at last succeeded. We have one of only five shows in the UK so a unique opportunity to see this great musician.

We are very proud to be part of this great band's 30th anniversary tour. This is an iconic outfit, whose personnel have never changed and feature lead singer and occasional soloist Rhett Miller, but who have had very limited exposure in the UK and Europe.

We have this up and coming, California raised and Nashville based young lady, Emily Nenni, appearing for us at the Jericho Tavern on Wednesday June 14th. She has a new album out on New West.

At the end of April we have back to back shows in Oxford and Thame. At the Bullingdon in Oxford on Thursday April 27th we have a double header with two exciting up and coming bands, Blue Highways from London and Steady Habits from Oxford. I think these guys are going to go far.
