This budget keeps giving. There’s tax relief for owners of vacant or underused residential property! You know people who own homes purely for its asset value and don’t have anyone living it’s it. So a break for the mostly, rich, non-resident, non-Canadians who have vacant homes.

Doug Ford's conservative government is proposing the the biggest attack on Ontario renters and rental affordability in a generation. Not only would landlords be able to evict tenants without cause, but rent control in units built before 2018 would effectively be over.

I will be digging more into this later but, um, 🚨🚨🚨 the Ford government is looking to end Ontario's security of tenure rules - preventing tenants from automatically transitioning to month-to-month after their initial lease is up, and allowing landlords to refuse to renew
