Luke 8:18"Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him." Hear God’s Word attentively. If you pay attention to the word of God, it will find expression in your life.

Pause, and ask: “Am I growing? Am I a better Christian today, than yesterday?” God calls us to grow into maturity. Refuse to grow, and you’re unusable (1 Cor. 9:27). Wake up, Christian, spiritual growth doesn't come by age but by feeding and practicing the Word (1 Pe. 2: 2)

Romans 12, tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Are you putting off the old man to wear Christ? Do you snap when corrected, crying “you are judging me”? Dodging feedback stalls growth. Carnal Christians are those who are not ready to grow (1 Cor. 3).

Dear Believer, are you growing? Excusing toxic character—“that’s just them”—keeps us as carnal. The Word must renew our character. If not, we’re not growing. Reflect on this: "What character flaws from 10 yrs ago still haunt you today?"
