It's not supposed to be one or two armies smash all other armies. There is a mechanical balance for a reason - so players can pit any army against any army and have fun. Otherwise, there wouldn't be other armies if only one or two are all-powerful. Everyone would play just those.

The more complex scams happen now because everyone can alter their IDs to seem legit. The Digital Age makes everything easier, including scamming people. You have to be twice as diligent today.

There is a half truth to this, but the scamming part did happen. As far back as I remember (the 70s). People would run these sweat shop phoning scams for checks, and by the time cops got there, it was cleared out. Mostly because cops were paid to look the other way.
