One thing we have struggled with since going to a 45 day spring calving window in ‘18 is getting to 90% breed up. (Hence why we have carried over and bred young cows for fall calvers) today we pregged a group of 53, and had 6 opens. Just shy of 90% finally!!.

This group of heifers will be for sale this year winter. Won’t find em much fancier anywhere around. Generations of OCC genetics stacked on top of each other and come out of the best uddered set of cows I’ve ever laid eyes on. They truly are the kind that work for you.

Right now America is about to come to reality with what no young farmers left looks like. All the labor will be coming from South Africa instead of young fruitful families making a living on the land. Sooner than we think.

If we can grow conventional sweet corn like this at 20k population with no fertilizer, no herbicides and it competed with weeds and still threw a cob like this?! What the hell is the matter with our GMO corn that it takes so much fertilizer and can’t compete with weeds?!

If my grandpa could see this he would smile from ear to ear. When the powers that be show up gun on hip and accuse you of wrong doing with no due process for what someone else did…I have heard countless other similar stories….Those memories stick with a family for generations.
