i turned a lifetime of my handwriting into a font and turned that font into text and turned that text into TEXTure
i.e. a new thing, coming **very** soon. more soon..
I want people to experience this collection and never see a “2” in the same way again. I also want to remind viewers that exquisiteness can exist in any mundane thing.
ILLUMINATED is a new collection made using Asemica elements, inspired by concepts beyond the grasp of words. so excited that 2 pieces will be in the show opening tonight at

Someone I love has dementia. The full person that she is combines with the limits of her brain to generate a kind of poetic speech. I created instructions to output 18 letterpress works, preserving her words at this moment in time.

So grateful for
@emailyedelman
, who is not only an amazing artist, but also an incredible experience designer and producer.
Bright Moment Paris would not have been the same without all of her work and vision. So if you had a good time this week, show her some love 🫶
overwhelmed by tues night in the best way. hugest thank you to the collectors of Agar,
@brtmoments

feeling so lucky to be a part of the NYC gen art community and last night’s On Water opening brought out the best of it - it’s kind and alive and creative and supportive and fun

these are 10 years of stories through the lens of my 2 - college experiments, a beach trip, long-covid recovery, and discovering a love for digital art
Martin is a very special project to me and i’m beyond delighted to have it included in the
@verse_works
show Odysseys alongside some favorite artists. sale starts 1pm EST on thursday (tomorrow!)

floored that Martin sold out so quickly. thank you amazing collectors and
@verse_works
and
@verse_leyla

mint passes go on sale for Agar tomorrow at 1pm est!
I’ve been working really hard with
@brtmoments
on the exhibition design. I’ve gotten to combine my background in event and spatial design with my vision for the IRL experience of the collection.
from right before the Agar opening last week - when the
@brtmoments
gallery was calm and quiet and mostly black and white, ready to take on a world of color by way of people and mints. thanks for making this part fun and easy
@djsicoli
The number 2 is a special quantity because it implies possibilities beyond itself. A system containing 0 or 1 elements is inert. 2 creates an interaction, a dyad, implying the possibility of more than 2 – an expanding system.
The 2 represents a potentially endless continuation
Congrats Vera Molnar
@martingrasser
and to all involved! On the occasion of this historic first, I would gift this to you were I the owner. 🙏 Minted Sep 2021.

the human eye loves many things, and texture is one of them, despite medium.
much of my work is texture-full, and even APPEARS skeumorpic, but is actually detailed pixel art. is that skeumorphism or mediumism?

Don't confuse the debate around "mediumism" vs "skeuomorphism" as being about digital aesthetics vs. subtlety and texture.
Asking artists and collectors to focus on those aspects of what we do that are unique to our medium (realtime, animation, infinitely evolving, etc.) is…
"a grain of sand a wisp of wind a passing cloud a drop of rain a pixel a honk"
With the fervor and intimacy of handwriting, Cosmico is meant to situate viewers within this acute point in time between history and future - with sharp awareness.
↓
'Asemica' is generative asemic typography, but I hadn't really explored generative asemic handwriting.
stayed up late preparing for tokyo jet lag, some 5am experiments
↓↓
titling my work is usually a winding conversational process starting with long lists and ending with a relieving moment of clarity.
with the prompt to find a title both intimate and massive,
@seth
threw out "Cosmic Cursive" which eventually brought me to "Cosmico"

The main creative constraint of pixel art is color choice - this is why Agar, a pixel art project at the end of the day, has 100 color palettes.
