Not sure why this isn't everyone's reaction to learning that we can now create meat/seafood without animal suffering, with fewer resources & environmental impact, with lower risk of foodborne illness & zoonotic disease, with tunable nutrition, etc.
I’m eating lab grown meat the second it’s mass market ready. It’s biologically identical to animal meat and will reduce suffering more than any technology in the history of our planet as long as enough people switch over from factory farmed meats.

Congrats to @MissionBarns, which has received a safety greenlight from FDA & now a USDA grant of inspection, clearing the way to sell cultivated meatball/bacon products. They will be on the menu at a restaurant in San Francisco & in local Sprouts markets shortly thereafter.
