Around this time of year, I like to do a mini #STEM challenge anchored to a picture book. The grade 2s listened to There's a Ghost in This House (a fan fave!) and then used different materials to make a house and hide a ghost. @WhyteRidgeSCH @PTLibLC @_MSLA_

In October, @WhyteRidgeSCH students explored #DigitalCitizenship through books, videos, and discussions. Each grade focused on a unique aspect, contributing to a collection of bulletin boards created by over 400 students. Go team! @CommonSenseEd @PTLibLC @_MSLA_

Today is Manitoba School Library Day. This year's theme is “Speak Up for School Libraries”. Libraries in @PembinaTrails libraries create safe, accessible, and inclusive spaces where students are encouraged to explore, question, learn and grow. #AccomplishAnything

Before Thanksging, Ks listened to Setting The Turkeys free and then used wooden blocks to build their own turkey enclosures to keep Foxy the Fox out. Look at those balancing skills! Impressive! @WhyteRidgeSCH @PTLibLC

Today Patti shared some beautiful drums from her collection with the AM K classes and 1/2CM. Students then designed their own drums. Beautiful work! @WhyteRidgeSCH @PTLibLC

Students are still checking the #Inquiry Corner for the tadpoles, but they are happily back in their natural habitat. It was amazing watching them grow over the last couple of months. @WhyteRidgeSCH @PTLibLC

I bring the tadpoles home with me every weekend, partly to keep an eye on them, and partly because I like observing them daily. This one is really looking like a frog these days! @WhyteRidgeSCH

The library tadpoles have been thriving! I have released many of them back to their natural habitat so the ones we still have have lots of room to grow. I never get tired of watching them! @WhyteRidgeSCH

Today's grade 2 storybook #STEM challenge: using 10 rolls and 5 plates, build the strongest tower that can hold the most books as well as the tallest tower that can hold at least 1 book. @WhyteRidgeSCH @PTLibLC

Finished my 6th @MyrcAward book today. I really enjoyed the setting of Heron Island, and now I'm craving cinnamon buns! @PTLibLC
