Throughout his career, Dr. Rahimi has played a key role in multiple award-winning interdisciplinary projects that bridge various fields and domains such as art, design, computer science, learning sciences, museum studies, game studies, and archeology.

His research emphasizes interactive, engaging, and experiential learning, aiming to enhance how people connect with and absorb knowledge.

Through innovative strategies and the application of emerging technologies, Dr. Rahimi seeks to transform educational approaches in both formal and informal educational settings.

His work is driven by a passion for creating immersive and impactful learning experiences, and his contributions to the field have earned him recognition as a nominee for the Canada Research Chair in Immersive Learning.

In this role, Raja and his team are responsible for supporting the integration of emerging technologies into health research and care delivery to achieve both health and economic outcomes for Alberta.

He currently serves as Executive Director of Health at @ABInnovates, where he leads the development and management of the organization’s digital health innovation strategy.

Throughout his career, he has been successful in building cross-sectoral partnerships between industry, academia and government that accelerate health innovation to market.
