Football is just making decisions that increase your chance of winning. Score more. Concede less. Avoiding a trade-off is rare.
Pep has this quote: “Football is not offensive and defensive. Everything is related.” Which is why the "Thomas Frank is fixing the defence first" doesn't work for me. You can't "fix" the defence without impacting the attack and vice versa. The solution has to be simultaneous.
