A game with an interesting world and well-developed characters will usually tend to garner more attention than one with mainly good gameplay. Three Houses & Engage are both good, but there's no denying which 1 stuck with fans.

you know what gets me about the whole "barefoot = sexualisation" claim is that no one ever said that about corrin when fates came out lmfao
Veyle being barefoot is never sexualized in the game. OP says there are multiple shots of Veyle's feet being focused but these "lingering shots" last a total of 3 seconds in a 30 second cutscene. 2 CGs of her feet lasts one line of dialogue in a 5+ minutes long scenes.

as long as (modern) fire emblem games have romance mechanics, they are never going to make a woman unavailable to the male player or vice versa. 17 games in this series, and only Two canon lesbians out of all of them, and they are both from games without romancing
I really don’t like discourse but this needs to be said.
These characters are all bi. It’s an inherent part of their character.
