One silly suggestion to launch satellite around 1975 was stacking Rohini 560, 300, 100 mm sounding rockets. This was possible in theory, but was never attempted because payload capacity was just few kilograms to orbit. Info is from Rocketing Through The Skies by Madhavan Nair.

The space data centre thing is a joke, bc erryone wants to build one nowadays, they build satellites good for academic/industry payloads, launch on the next available flight... great option for flight heritage

@electricfoo Just about every single depiction of Mars Orbiter Mission in our pop-culture has been shown to be launching aboard a foreign launch vehicle (Soyuz and Space Shuttle), so this habit of misrepresentation is nothing new tbh.

There was no direct mention of the PSLV-C62 mission and the way the ISRO officials said Happy New Year, looks like this will not take place on 31 Dec this year.

@electricfoo We’re trying to enable this economy with our re-entry spacecraft that we are building at inbound aerospace.

These are the experiments selected for Gaganyaan uncrewed flight. These are not very exciting or game-changing, we need to come up with kickass experiments for the crewed flights, things that benefit life on Earth, makes space exploration safer, and creates a space economy.

Small launchers being developed in India. Left out Vega I by Vertotech and a VTHL launcher with a gliding booster by Spaceverse as these are in very early stages. @Omspace_in @SkyrootA @astrobase_space @spantrik @AbyomSpaceTech @EtherealXTech @AgnikulCosmos

Researchers from IIT Bombay have tracked climate change on Mars in the Thaumasian Highlands region. Between 4 and 3 billion years ago, the region went from being hot and wet to cold and dry. https://t.co/6CM87NyCry

Model of the BlueBird satellite inside. It provides direct cellular broadband to smartphones without any special modifications or equipment. Vodafone is one of the partnering telecom providers.
On December 6, BlueBird 6 was encapsulated and timely handed off to the launcher for liftoff. The exact December launch date will be announced in the coming days. This launch marks the beginning of our launch campaign, with a launch every forty-five days on average during 2026.
