It’s about creating an ongoing conversation and action that will help garment workers and holding brands accountable. @birdsonglondon are an example of an excellent brand that put their workers first.

These are organisations that are doing incredible work towards a better future for garment workers; whilst also educating us all on ways in which we can improve how we consume and from whom.

You can sign @payupfashion petition to let CEOs know that they ought to pay their garment workers fairly, get involved or even just follow @remakeourworld @Fash_Rev and @cleanclothes .

The exploitation of garment workers is already a gendered issue. Class issues are gendered issues. So by flinging it around you're asking us to have more compassion for a millionaire because she's a woman, even though that wealth is tied directly to the exploitation of women.
