Coding agents clearly have hit a wall If the tempo continues we will be having agents running 16-40h tasks on their own. That is a week of engineering work (if you factor in sleep / meetings prolly even more).

Don't push effort around AI generated stuff onto others! If YOU use AI, YOU are still responsible for the outcome. If a PR is mainly generated by AI, be frank about it and FFS review it yourself first. Not based on real events as of lately /s

2027: 'AI will change everything.' 🤣 I get the sentiment, I am living in a Software Engineering bubble and there it really changed everything I feel. Not sure how much coding will be done "manually" as of 2030 or even end of 2026 alone. Any takes on this?

Yesterday discussed detecting AI-gen images at the sideline. Initially thought Gemini solves this, but learned it only works for images from Google's models. When will we stop trusting what we see? Are we already beyond this point?
