“We’re in a golden age of astronomy”

Measuring age in astronomy is quite tricky

Our galaxy is actually on its way from being a star-forming galaxy to a passive galaxy

This includes changes in density as well

Scientists are trying to figure out how galaxies change shape

Depending on where galaxies are situated in dark matter can influence how they operate

Why can some galaxies form stars and others can’t? 🌌

There seems to be very little regulation around this as well

There’s a lot of “stuff” in orbit. Nowadays, if you have a modest-sized telescope, you generally see a satellite sailing through

The consequences of this proposed program succeeding will be incredibly serious

To work, we would need a continuous string of satellites orbiting the Earth 🌏 🛰️

You can’t focus the light like you would like. This has ramifications for ecosystems and more

If this idea works as intended, the light will be brighter than the moon. This is quite bright and quite dangerous

Reflecting light off mirrors is something we are familiar with, however, how bright will these satellites be? What about light pollution?
