Congrats @KevinReuer to the successful defense and the great underlying work! Thanks @qudev for hosting a cheerful day of discussions: It was great visiting my long-time alma mater @ETH_en.
Congratulations to @KevinReuer who successfully defended his PhD at our @qudev Lab at @ETH_physics @ETHQuantumCntr @ETH_en this week. Thanks to @eichler__chris from @UniFAU , Florian Marquardt from @MPI_Light, and Eugene Demler from @ETH #Zurich for being on the committee. Check

Nice summary (as usual!) of the paper @KevinReuer
A knitting machine spitting out entangled microwave photons! Check out our new manuscript: https://t.co/vKmyAYdtVD! We generate up to 20-qubit two-dimensional cluster states, to our knowledge the largest ever generated deterministically with discrete-variables!

Congrats to the whole team of contributors. Nice to have the paper finally out.
Trying to get your photons entangled? Check out our new @qudev @ETH_physics @ETHQuantumCntr @ETH_en manuscript on "Deterministic generation of a 20-qubit two-dimensional photonic cluster state" available on @arxiv since today. Read more here: https://t.co/vp57KHnlG9 Very happy to

We accomplished our first milestone towards building European flip-chip quantum processors. Thanks to many collaborators @wacqt_sweden @VTTFinland @qudev ! Paper (esp. supplementary mat) is out @QuantSciTech, and @arxiv soon. Cc. @JonasBylander2 @AndreasAtETH @eichler__chris
Our work on developing 3D integrated superconducting qubits has recently been published in QST https://t.co/JJlPMCsdYj And following the trend of quantum computing papers these days, many of the interesting details are in the supplement. Great work @sandokokosen & @hangxi_li

A pleasure hosting @UniFAU president Joachim @Hornegger in our rapidly growing lab environment. Everyone in the team was inspired by the visit. Great questions, great discussions, great support!
Thrilling visit today with #FAUprof Christopher Eichler, who recently joined @UniFAU from @ETH, and his team. They're revolutionizing quantum computing, focusing on reducing errors in quantum computers using advanced superconducting circuits. Exciting people! Exciting research!

Less than 20 hours after arriving at the loading dock the cryostat reached its base temperature. Looking forward to using it for our research.
Exciting day for our lab @UniFAU with our first cryostat arriving. Now that it is sitting in the lab, the system looks even more compact. Let‘s see how long it takes from unloading the truck this morning to reaching base temperature…

Looks very delicious. Too bad, I could not enjoy a piece during our virtual celebration. Now that I look at it again, the connectivity of the chocolate neural net reminds of a 7-qubit device, we’ve made in the past to do a number of nice experiments…Coincidence?
Today, we celebrated the publication of our reinforcement learning manuscript @NatureComms with some @PhysicsCakes illustrating the real-time interaction between the agent and the qubit! Big thanks to all co-authors @qudev @ETH_en and @MPI_Light @UniFAU! https://t.co/T3SVbbKGHQ

Congrats @AntsRemm! Great to see you with doctoral hat. good luck for your move to the US
Congratulations to @AntsRemm who defended his PhD thesis very successfully today at @qudev @ETH_physics @ETHQuantumCntr @ETH_en. Check out his fancy doctoral hat. I am a bit jealous of the nice model of the 17-qubit device he used for #quantum error correction. Also check out

Decoupling neighboring superconducting qubits is essential for operating large processors with high precision. In https://t.co/nR7ZvEDpnL we show how to achieve this for strongly localized computational basis states and propose a coupler design. @eichler__chris @FauQuantum

Enhancing the capabilities of superconducting quantum hardware, requires higher gate fidelities and lower crosstalk, particularly in larger scale devices, in which qubits are coupled to multiple...
