We're pleased to share results from this multi-center randomized controlled trial that builds on prior work optimizing & evaluating #TMS as a potential treatment adjuvant post-#stroke. In our sample w/ mixed lesion location & extent, low-frequency TMS did not confer added benefit.
1/ #STROKE Intensive motor rehab 3-12 months after stroke improved clinical impairment. However, low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) did not confer advantage as treatment adjuvant. #EFIT trial #rehabilitation #StrokeRecovery

We are grateful to the @PAHealthDept for supporting this exciting project! As PI of this grant, I look forward to working with outstanding colleagues to determine if high frequency repetitive #TMS is safe, feasible, and may enhance motor recovery in #SpinalCordInjury.
Congratulations to @edwardsneurolab on receipt of a grant from the @PAHealthDept to conduct translational research using noninvasive #BrainStimulation to promote recovery in #SpinalCordInjury. Read more in our latest blog post: @ResearchAtJeff @MossRehab
