[6/6] The Blob (1988) There's so many cool things about this alien organism in this movie. It starts small and puny and gradually grows to the size of a building, it spreads organically sliding through the smallest of gaps, and it has no agenda - it just wants to consume.

[5/6] Predator (1987) I love how focussed this film is - it’s just a bunch of mercenaries trying to get out of a jungle while being hunted by an alien. I also like that it’s not some weird monstrous creature that’s after them, it’s just a humanoid enemy but with crazy technology.

[4/6] The Thing (1982) This is the film that impacted me the most in terms of atmosphere and creature design. The way the creature is so desperate to survive makes it feel so real. It will morph, transform, imitate, detach parts of itself to escape - you never know what's next.
