Educator Charlotte Mason said, "The question is not,––how much does the youth know? when he has finished his education––but how much does he care? and about how many orders of things does he care?". It's a quote I came across when we were homeschooling, and still rolls around in.

But it doesn’t look death in the face any better than the science it fights. There is no life without risk or danger. We have to figure out how to live boldly, freely, and faithfully. This will probably require a return to the earth, the seasons, God’s rhythms….

The trad/crunchy movement is missing something big. The movement promises the same thing it fights against- which at its essence is self-reliance and eternal life. Purify yourself from microplastics, flouride, factory farming, big phrama, etc. and you will live long and free!.

My dear friend and EPLA founding partner, Maria, wrote a beautiful piece for @WordOnFire today. I am thankful for the work we have done together over these last 9 years. I pray truly that I might see a day where no one suffers miscarriage alone.

Opening up about miscarriage not only invites others to help care for us, it can make visible an invisible cross someone else may be carrying.
