Colleges and universities have shown little introspection as to how those of us in higher education might be part of the problem. Perhaps we are contributorily negligent to creating the political culture that makes these vicious attacks possible.

I love that the metaphor of university as gym is getting around. @VanJones68 used it @UChiPolitics in 2020, and more recently @interfaithusa conference in March. May it spread.

Excellent @WSJ OpEd by @mroth78 - education means people from a variety of identities collectively discussing a diversity of perspectives and constantly seeking better explanatory frameworks. It does not mean ideological auditors on campus.
