Reflecting on the events in Bondi yesterday; as you are going about your business today, remember to be kind to the people you meet, regardless of race, religion, and especially politics.

Shooting people in the name of religion- what is wrong with you! If you think this is justified then there is no place for you in society.

Violence only begets more violence and does not solve anything. In Australia we should not be enemies even if we disagree.

Ruby + Rails are far from legacy, with Ruby 4.0.0‑preview2 and Bundler 4 now live on Heroku, and Rails continuing to unlock powerful JSON/Postgres tooling while baking in modern UI via Hotwire. If you’re starting a new web project, now might be the perfect time to build on this

Did you know that properly written Ruby on Rails applications just keep running; applications written 10 years ago, or more, are working great in 2025. Full survey here: https://t.co/FcuEqYgAs3

Current reporting bears out what I have personally observed; many Australian firms are still stuck in pilot mode with AI, struggling with skills, data, and governance. The field desperately needs trusted advisors

Upgrade news: Rails 8.1 lands, 7.0/7.1 hit EOL, and Heroku ships Ruby 4.0.0-preview2. If your main app is still on 7.x (or lower), now’s the time to draw a real upgrade roadmap, not just another patch. DM me if you need help! #RubyOnRails #Heroku #DevOps

Is it all over for NPM - will it ever be trusted again? And what does this mean for other package managers out there? The internet relies on these managers and mostly just trust the content.

Had to pick up something from the city today - so busy with people with handfuls of bags. Such a great energy. Looking good Melbourne!

Has anyone got tasks to run recently in ChatGPT? I have a couple of news updates to run daily, but they do not run and no notifications are sent.
