I don't like egomaniacal billionaires any more than you do. But over the past year I've seen that Twitter is still one of the best ways to rapidly disseminate important updates in emergency situations to large groups of people. So until a better alternative comes along...

Took a trip to the @FieldMuseum today, and in the middle of their Evolving Planet exhibit got really fascinated by how museums represent the scale of geological/deep time. I wonder if there has been any scholarship on this?
