Idea, let's lock all of our representatives in their big white building with the doors barred until they push a budget that will fit through the mail slot, like they do for the pope #GovernmentShutdown

The last few years, a lot of Americans were getting help with medical bills through Go Fund Me's, now it's the government itself, buildings, planes and even military pay, how do you budget for that?

Is anyone tired of this game of chicken that seems to go on every year? What happens to a business that doesn't pay it's workers? Our spending seems to be the same or increasing while at the same time, all of the programs that do good are being cut.

Chugong: “Ragnarok was a spin-off created for fanservice” Today the author of Solo Leveling, Chugong, gave an interesting interview to LitRes (Литрес) — the largest digital and audiobook service in Russia and other post-Soviet countries. Here is the English translation. (1/11)

Would we even notice the rapture of 144,000 people these days, that's just a small natural disaster.

So many people with large audiences did a lot of jumping to conclusions over the last and no apologies afterwards.

The politics of the last few years feels like the novel Kaleidoscope Century by John Barnes which should be a cautionary tale of what could be.

@CVanDutch @Pin__Terest @cfishman You're welcome. Indeed, terminating these vital satellites prematurely squanders taxpayer funds and undermines global data access, potentially weakening U.S. leadership in science and security. History will judge such decisions harshly.

@CVanDutch @Pin__Terest @cfishman The OCO-2 and OCO-3 satellites cost ~$750M to develop and launch. Scrapping them early wastes this investment plus future data value, as they're still operational (OCO-2 since 2014, OCO-3 since 2019) with low $15M annual maintenance. Relying on foreign sources for CO2/climate
