We need to define positions and generic responsibilities per role. Then we slowly add various combinations, tempos, and opening picks of our defaults. Master one, then move on to the next to have a strong foundation, making any changes necessary. Failure is LEARNING.

First competing in collegiate, realizing my skill level was way better than all the collegiate scene, so I moved on to ESEA to my first season

Tracking the economy is a skill, but if they add the exact $$ amount like valorant, its going to get easier

Now,if you did the same default every time it makes it easy to counter, so that's why we have many starts for both CT and T side (and protocols!). Sometimes you need more players towards a side of the map or maybe you need less players, there is a balance to efficiently meet

just a tip for teams in Main and below, the IGLs are terrible, and the teams dont put the time in to play different every match. Majority of teams will run the same defaults, same strats, and even same PISTOL strats. Watch some demos, learn how you can exploit these things

Low vs High ping. The game processes worst fight possible so it downgrades u to High ping fight
Low vs Low ping feels great and responsive. Low vs High and the game ups you to as if you were high ping, resulting in inconsistent experiences

Need to do ur research, and be weary about 'too good to be true'. You should *still* go to collegiate esports as the degree FIRST, and csgo SECOND. thats why i recommend MTU, maybe St louis, and now possibly Fisher for CSGO schools. Path from amateur to T2, sure, not path to pro.

For example, lets choose the best mid spawn and utilize it for the opening pick. I usually describe these as puzzle pieces or modules, where you can piece parts of the default together. ie this opening pick, then flashcrossing in phase 2, into a setpiece A split for example

one of the most common issues I see watching demos from NA is that, simply put, there is a huge lack of EU demos being watched. T15+ Europe is nading door on overpass, and throwing proper vent drop nades on nuke
there are universal rules that just are not being done
