It's weird how so many of the Web3 devs are suddenly - and conveniently - doing the "we don't need them" pivot. Guys! We raised this alarm a long time ago. You're either catering to gamers or you're catering to gamblers & speculators. The overlap doesn't make a difference.
there are 2 types of users in web3, ones that like your product and ones that wants free money. the free money people LARP as community - and they're a-holes - i am ok with 'losing' them. i still believe in play-to-earn, but only to real community / people who help grow the game

This is going to be interesting. Now it's a full-on bidding war with Polygon, Arbitrum and Optimism having put in offers for @Ronin_Network . Last time this happened was 2024 during the bidding wars for ApeChain. Arbitrum won that round. I always tell my dev friends that all.
