Parker Coil was just selected in the 16th round of the MLB Draft. No. 485 overall. That ties a school record for the most in a single class (11).

Pirates already have 4 other HS picks, but only one other since the 10th round. It’s an interesting waiting game now.
The first Razorback high school signee selected is Fort Smith RHP McLane Moody in the 15th round. This is a little bit of a weird part of the draft where teams start to consider taking fliers, but it feels like a prime overslot candidate here.

10/13 picks from the Padres so far are College kids. Rd. 1, 5 and 11 are the HS kids. We shall see if the Padres have enough money to go around when it’s all said and done.

If I've done my counting properly. Hogs lead the way with nine total draft picks through the first 10 rounds. LSU and Tennessee both have 8. Almost everyone selected up until this point will sign. When the draft resumes in about 40 minutes, is when things get fun. .
