Can't overlook Deandra like that when Willa only lives on because of her sacrifice. But agree with your concluding point.
Nothing whatsoever in the text of the film to indicate that Bob sees himself as the hero. Opposite, really. Willa’s lie about the cell phone gets herself and Deandra caught, and Deandra fails to keep her safe. Willa is the hero. She saves her own life and now she gets to live it.
