Some good protein sources: eggs, greek yogurt, paneer, tofu, fish, chicken, and high quality protein powders. No protein means no collagen, no keratin, no proper barrier, no healing. And no glow. And no creams out there can fix that.

So skipping or ignoring your protein intake is not the answer to getting a better, healthier skin and hair. We dermatologists don’t just say to increase your protein intake for the sake of saying it, it is very important for your treatment.

You could be using the best products out there, but if your protein intake is low, your skin won't bounce back. Healing needs amino acids. Period.

And it’s not just limited to your skin and hair. Your nails weaken, skincare results plateau, and recovery from acne, eczema, or pigmentation takes forever because your skin simply doesn’t have the materials it needs to repair itself.

This is how people end up with telogen effluvium after crash diets, major stress, or chronic inflammation. Even subtle protein deficiency can lead to progressive hair fall over time.

Hair is even more direct. It’s 95% keratin, a protein. When your protein intake drops, your body deprioritizes hair growth to focus on vital organs. And as result you see excessive shedding, thinning, slowed growth, and breakage.

So what happens? . Skin starts looking dull, healing slows down, inflammation stays longer, your barrier gets weaker, and fine lines show up faster.

Your skin is made up of structural proteins like collagen, keratin and elastin. Collagen gives your skin firmness and bounce. Elastin keeps it stretchy and resilient. Without enough dietary protein, your body can't make either.

Don’t hesitate to undergo skin/hair/nails/aesthetics procedures, if it improves your confidence and makes your life better, then it’s worth it. Don’t let the internet tell you otherwise.

Not every “certified” skin/hair doctor is actually certified. Telangana Medical Council issued a public notice:. 1. Self-styled diplomas/fellowships in cosmetology, aesthetics, trichology etc. from unapproved institutes are NOT valid. 2. Practicing with them is illegal.

Hair transplant is not a miracle. It’s a procedure. And when done at the right time, by the right hands, with the right expectations, it changes lives. If you still have any questions about hair transplant drop them in the comments!.

We dermatologists look at the root cause of your hair loss first and don’t just jump to surgery. If you’re under thirty and still losing hair aggressively, most derms will ask you to stabilize things first with medical treatment. Only when things slow down does transplant make.

A lot of clinics use technicians or non-qualified staff. That’s where complications happen. Infection, anesthesia related issues, unnatural hairlines, poor graft survival, visible scarring, all of it.
