the big thing with tajikistan's two wins so far is they both came at home, and they were only able to score three goals (less than we scored in 1 home game). hopefully maldives and timor manage to scrape a draw against them.

putting my two cents in that they're very different players - bjorn is a runner and a finisher, but he doesn't really have the technical set piece/crossing prowess that phil had. they would have worked very well together up front imo

I'll take that win. Away from home, missing four first team players, up against a decent Timor squad, and still won 4-1. We get Holtmann back for the return game but hopefully Manny and Zico are available, too.

feels weird but timor will always be the toughest test for our defense in this group, mostly because i don't think we have an especially fast or mobile defense and the timorese have the most pace down the wings. i feel like jeff and amani have been made to work a LOT today.

Interesting move from Prachuap as Jesper Nyholm got moved to the midfield. Helped make room for Ugelvik Ott-Reyes-Bailey midfield didn’t have the defensive balance vs Tajikistan. Deploying Jesper there can add that, and his CB skills without offsetting technical quality
