This is a great activity to keep students engaged and motivated within the lesson. Gallery walks involve students rotating around the room or building watching by videos, reading short stories and etc. #eled360 @drnashscience @DSUteach

The purpose of social studies education shouldn’t be teaching students to hate our country’s past, but instead to be grateful for our birthright of liberty. More from our latest study.

This article talks about how teachers can have fun in their social studies classrooms, even when SS isn't their favorite subject! I especially like the choice board activity. Teach your passions. #eled360 @drnashscience @DSUteach https://t.co/Os4kDLrPiP

When given more time & less constraints, Ss began creating more detailed items for their campgrounds beyond the listed features in the challenge. Choice is powerful and often leads to higher engagement & learning outcomes. They made coolers!! #Camp100 #3rdgrade #100thdayofschool

“I’m giving up control for those who need to be in control.” I really resonated with this quote from our Nearpod lesson from @drnashscience this week in CET 723. Gaining tips on UDL is going to be very beneficial for my future classroom!

This semester I read the book Teach Like a Pirate by Dave Burgess. It was such a great informational read and gave me different ideas on how to increase student engagement and boost my creativity as a future educator. Recommend all educators to read. #eled360 @drnashscience
