One of my enduring memories of the admin season in League 1 is of players putting their bodies on the line and needing painkilling injections before every game (and in-between at times too) just so we could field a team.
That should never be forgotten.

Don’t under-estimate that performance. Had to have the right mindset and would have been easy to get it wrong, but as soon as I walked into the dressing room I knew that wasn’t a problem.
