Wordle 823 6/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Ugh, these are the worst. 4/5 letters right on the 3rd entry, but there are multiple valid words that can be made with the 1 missing letter. And ofc, I get it on the last try. 🙄 Phew indeed!

So important to get “boots on the ground” to do these studies. Lots of work to be done in East Palestine, as well as work by legislators and industry to prevent something like this from happening again.
CDC investigators studying the potential health impacts of chemical exposures in East Palestine, Ohio, got sick with similar symptoms as those reported by residents

Wordle 517 3/6 🟩⬜⬜⬜🟨 🟩⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Likely would not have gotten this one at all (much less in 3 tries!) if not for those 2 key letters from my starter word. Very funky word choice today.

Happy belated birthday to Mother Randle! 🌹
Today is special💐 Mother Randle—one of the three last-living survivors of the #TulsaRaceMassacre—is 108 years old. While each year is a blessing, every day that passes without any JUSTICE is a reminder of the failed system that still exists today. Drop a 🌹 to wish her hbd.

Apparently a rough one for many.
🟨🟩 Wordle 491 is breaking a lot of streaks. 🟨🟩 About 25% of players are losing today's puzzle (usually it's only 1-2%). https://t.co/fgEBQQpx9w

The Guiding Light (lower left), hands down. Funny thing was, I didn’t have to stay home from school to watch it — it came on at 3:00 and school let out at like 2:30 or 3:00. Would usually catch the last half. Harley and Mallet were my faves! ❤️

Vermilion as red makes sense to me 🤷🏿♀️. But chartreuse as green NEVER made sense to me (thought it was a shade of brown for years). Then TIL that the color is from a liqueur of the same name…?!? Mind kinda blown. #randomthoughtsandrevelations
i'm so annoyed that 'vermilion' is a shade of red. it's obviously meant to be a shade a green. english frustrates me and no i will not explain.

It’s Passover, Ramadan, Good Friday, and Vaisakhi all at once which I don’t think has been seen before, at least in many of our lifetimes Holy & important days for Muslims, Jews, Christians, Sikhs and some Hindus. This is amazing

Wordle 228 2/6 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I’m gonna say this was like 20% skill, 80% luck. I do have some good strategies, but I could have just as easily chosen a different word in the second spot, using those strategies. Anyway, I’ll take it! ☺️

Wordle 221 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟩⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Joined this trend late, but enjoying it! Now on day 4, with 4/6 on days 1 and 3, and 3/6 on days 2 and 4. Not too bad! ☺️

I think about bell hooks dying at 69. When I was a dept chair, I thought about my life expectancy often. I thought about the stress of working with a small group of people who never wanted me to be hired and who tortured me daily. 1/

I did not attend an HBCU (a mistake, in retrospect), but I have always felt commitment to my community as the wind at my back in more difficult times.

🙋🏿♀️ My “gifted” classes in Brooklyn (elementary and JHS) had a nice representation of Black folks. Once I got to my Manhattan city-wide specialized high school, which was essentially all “gifted”, I was often the only Black person in my classes of ~30 students.
