Meet Bruce Wilson, a volunteer at the Southwest Region Little League tournament since 2004. Each year, he makes the drive from Biloxi to Waco to give his time to the kids. And yes—he’s a proud Mississippi State graduate, class of 1975. Another example of a Bulldog serving others.

Patti and I had a great time visiting with my brother Tommy and his wife Joann after the game in Waco yesterday.They made the trip from Houston and will be with us today cheering on the Mississippi Little League team as they take on Arkansas at 4 p.m. Catch the game live on ESPN+

Congratulations to the Starkville Little League baseball team on winning the state tournament with a 2-0 victory over Clinton. Next up: the Southwest Region Tournament in Waco, TX, where they’ll take on the Louisiana state champions on July 31.

Our son Jase is coaching this team. Patti and I are having a blast cheering them on. Go Starkville!.

Today we remember Dr. Donald Zacharias on the 10th anniversary of his passing. He was an outstanding president for Mississippi State University and an even better person. He would be very proud of all the accomplishments at MSU under the leadership of President Mark Keenum.

Today is Dr. Roy Ruby's 84th birthday.The impact he’s had on numerous students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Mississippi State University is immeasurable, and his decades of service to MSU is legendary.Happy birthday Dr. Ruby!.
