I will never forget the piercing sound of the alarm and the announcement at 6:30 pm, “CODE BLUE Room 268!” It seemed like time stopped and accelerated simultaneously. 3.6.19 - my oldest child & only son took his last breath on a ventilator at 10:42 pm.

My son would have turned 20 today. This picture was taken for his 19th birthday. The loss of my first child, my only son is painful. And to add the loss of my grandmother 9 months later is excruciating. Please pray for my family today. RIP Joe Jr 1999-2019 💔

My son would have turned 22 today. The loss of my first child, my only son is painful. I can still hear the surreal alarm that sounded at 6:30pm, “Code Blue Room 268” and I still remember the stillness after he took his last breath at 10:42pm.
RIP Joe Jr 1999-2019 💔
