for a while, finally got it working! Props to

for the scroll code :). I'm using a 1d blend state with two animations with start and finish positions and rotations keyed

. I need to get the sine wave animating on a loop, but the follow path/bone stuff is working kinda how I expected it!
By constraining a path between two other animated paths, you can easily achieve intricate animations in
#AfterEffects
