Meta conversations about #pathfinder2e are very strange to me. Table Top Games are very collaborative experience between players and the DM. Sure balance is important for a better overall game, but it feels like people are using it as crutch to avoid talking out in game issues.

I have friends who swear by this system. They know it in and out, and it’s the only thing they play. Most of them don’t use it like a combat system. Something is broken about Dnd 5e combat. Which, to me, is why the discussion is happening. And that’s really interesting.

Vancian magic system will always cause a power imbalance between those who can burst and those who cannot. The number of encounters per day system doesn’t work. I could go on. But I’m not saying that you cannot have fun with it.

i think the “Dnd is not a combat game” is a really interesting discourse. I firmly believe that the game is designed around combat. The spells, the features, and the feats mostly focus on being better in a combat encounter. But the combat isn’t fun. And that’s the issue.

We should be playing more #pathfinder2 the superior game.
