I picked up some stickers from @HannahGDesigns at a craft show today. Amongst a variety of wonderful designs (still regretting not getting the raven one) I spotted some of a scifi/fantasy nature. Check out her work, worth your time and a lovely person too.

Test of a buddy’s art for a dice tray. Worked great for a laser burn but unrepeatable unfortunately, as I only had scraps of this letter.

Good progress on the maze for a game I’m running in January. It’s on https://t.co/8uzsLWELLt a few years ago and it’s time for a terrain upgrade for it.

Big chain in the Dawn Patrol game to start it off. Got lucky with a very good initiative roll first turn. No hits so far.

Want to annoy the piss out of your kids? Ask them to pause their mmo game. “We need to talk, pause your game.” Hehehe and then tell a dad joke. Classic.

Argh! Argh I say. I am missing the big baddie fight in tonight’s game to help my daughter at a school function. Occasionally, I wish my dad hadn’t instilled such big family loyalty in us and today’s one of those days. :) Carry on.

Woohoo! Sold another phb diorama today, this one’s heading to New York state. Pretty neat how far and wide these have spread out over this continent. Just one left from the fall batch in the store. https://t.co/yZDABM52hM

And now I have more green flocking. Let it dry overnight and I can start making my hedges tomorrow.

:) jokes aside, I usually ask, “what are you your last words?” Which gives them a chance to go out on something memorable. One player turned to all the others and said “you all suck” as they had no healing left to save her. :)

After a player’s character dies in my game I use these words to make them feel better: “Don’t be such a dumb ass next time.” Ok, I say that to make me feel better, not them. They should just try rolling better.

For anyone who wants to make their own terrain flocking, fine sawdust and paint is all you need. Don’t add water. Just add a little paint to some sawdust, stir till mixed. Add more paint, stir. Till it’s the colour you want. Spread it out on wax paper to dry. That’s it.

I do need to make various green flocking. Variety of colours in debris/grass/flocking is more organic and adds an extra hint of realism.

The finely strained material makes for good addition to add to green to give it some variety in colour and it fills in cracks in castle.

The larger bits of flocking (after straining) are still useful. They make for good leaf debris. This batch will be used for fall trees and ground cover blown up against walls and the base of trees.

Sometimes #ttrpg terrain building is about big large pieces that show really well. Other times it’s about sawdust being turned into flocking taking over your dining room table.
