There are too many examples of patients coming to harm due to infighting and toxic interpersonal relationships between colleagues at work (in these cases, all cardiac surgeons) If we ever needed a reminder... when we fight, it's not us but our patients that are put at risk 2/3

Medicine really is practised very differently around the 🌎 Dad told me he spoke to a friend in 🇺🇸 (also a retired Dr) who has an exercise stress echo (at a world famous hospital) every 2 years (has done for >10 years now) He's asymptomatic Happy #WorldHeartDay2025! 🤷🏽♂️

This won't help disseminate best practice and reach as many patients as possible The cost of organising & hosting meetings is high, no doubt, but in my experience London Valves is an outlier in its cost...I know so many who would love to attend but find the cost prohibitive 🤷🏽♂️

The cost of attending #PCRLondonValves is a lot more than what it costs to attend: ACC - $999 AHA - $949 ESC - €940 I'd love to know why the registration fee is so astronomical It's a shame as #PCRLONDONVALVES risks becoming a meeting for a select few...
