Tariffs weren’t fully implemented, which makes causal claims about their inflationary effects tenuous. But we can examine past cases—like steel and aluminum tariffs. Did they drive broad inflation? No. Did they raise prices in affected sectors? Absolutely. For example, a JEP.

🚨 BREAKING: Treasury Secretary SCOTT BESSENT says after today's inflation report, "One thing that Wall Street, economists got wrong early on was that tariffs were going to cause a substantial price level rise, which just hasn't HAPPENED!"

“Unfair” trade? 🇧🇷 The U.S. logged a $7B goods surplus with Brazil in 2024. 🇰🇷 Under KORUS, almost every U.S. export enters South Korea tariff-free. If this is what being “ripped off” looks like, it’s hard to tell who the victim is.

The days of unfair trade practices are over. Thanks to @POTUS, this Administration is laser-focused on securing the best trade deals for the American people. The market is looking ahead and clearly understands that these deals will benefit both the United States and the global

@united I truly feel bad about customer service reps and gate agents. @united puts them in an impossible situation. Operations & management are inefficient, but they are the ones who have to deal with angry customers. Competition might bankrupt many businesses but at least it forces

@united The idea you can’t find a pilot is absurd. The flight was supposed to leave at 7:30 pm & you’ve argued the pilot was on a plane from Wichita that was delayed …where is that pilot? If it’s about timing out, this is on you. @united CEO can email us all the messages about caring.

Wow, @united—another delay. Originally scheduled for 7:30pm, now pushed to 11:34pm after four delays. Your excuse? The crew is stuck on another delayed flight due to weather. Meanwhile, you’re shuffling us between terminals and still can’t find flight attendants. This is what.

It’s neither surprising nor irrational government employees tend to support larger government. Incentives matter: individuals are unlikely to support political movements that threaten their occupational stability or funding streams. While empirical evidence shows GOP is not.

Federal Reserve employees donated 92% of their $700k in political contributions to Democrats during the 2024 cycle. Does that sound "nonpartisan" to you?

As if left-wing populism doesn’t do the same? Do TV pundits ever engage with the academic literature on these issues? Both left- and right-wing populists claim to champion the working class, yet the evidence shows they erode liberal democratic institutions and restrict economic.

Trump’s populism is rooted in love of the American working class. It’s based on the idea that work gives you dignity and desrves respect. The Left’s “socialism” is rooted in disaffected credentialed urbanites who see work as inherently undignified—something illegal migrants do.

This is the predictable result of importing policy models from California or NYC. The rising costs of living and doing business now outweigh the perceived quality-of-life benefits. Scenic beauty and recreational amenities cannot substitute for economic viability.

Colorado is slowly but surely becoming California. Don’t act surprised when businesses and workers leave—only to be followed by cringey taxpayer-funded ads begging people to move back to Colorado.

🚨🚨 Colorado’s new “Netflix Tax,” upheld by the Court of Appeals on July 3, 2025, is hitting streamers where it hurts: their wallets and their choices. By classifying streaming subscriptions like Netflix as “tangible personal property” under a 1935 tax code, the state is.
