Jamaica’s new bank notes seem to be causing confusion. Dr. Haughton said he used the $50 note in celebration of Sam Sharpe’s legacy. However, Sam Sharpe no longer appears on that note he is on the $500 note alongside Nanny. The new $50 features George William Gordon & Paul Bogle.

When I hear prospective MPs say they don’t know how the incumbent has used their CDF, I wonder if they realise that that info can be obtained with ease through the CDF Secretariat? Remember also that MPs are to submit an annual report of the projects undertaken using CDF.

Tyrice Taylor with a new Nat’l Rec in taking Bronze at the NACAC Championship. His time of 1:43.74 makes him the first Jamaican to go below 1:44.0 and it also gives him the Auto standard for Tokyo. The previous record was by Navasky Anderson at 1:44.40; he too had a PB 1:44.18.
