The first England v Scotland game I can remember. We won 3 1 and my Spurs hero Martin Chivers scored 2 goals.

Softness. Fit. The right feel. But do your favorite pieces stay comfy after the first wash—or the tenth? At SHEIN, our fabrics are stretched, rubbed, steamed, and spun to test for lasting comfort and durability. Real quality is how pieces hold up over time, not just day one.

BBC Grandstand May 1979 Home International England 3-1 Scotland The last LIVE football commentary from the great David Coleman. A superb commentator, who kept it simple but yet informative. He proved that you don’t have to talk constantly for 90 mins. #Coleman

Respect to the Football Association for supporting the Alzheimer's Society tonight. Wales will provide tough opposition so hopefully a good test. The view from my safe standing England Home End ticket is £25. Great value. Come on England!

Wishing a very happy birthday to former midfielder Gheorge 'Gica' Popescu who celebrates his 58th today! A wonderful signing with real class in the middle. His winner against Arsenal endeared himelf to the home supporters even more! @osvaldooardiles @SpursOfficial

If you ever did an England away in the 80’s and 90’s then I think you might like the posts about Rome 1998. We are all older and mostly more sensible. But we lived probably the best football times of our lives watching England away. Memories that we cherish. Come on England!

13. The second lock in lasted another hour. The following morning I was having breakfast in the Hotel when a Burnley & England regular came towards me, his head and face were badly cut and swollen. He shook my hand and said it was one of the best England aways ever - he was right

12. As we were leaving the Stadium serious fighting broke out under the Stand between our fans and the riot Police and we were baton charged back into the seats. Everyone was to blame. But certainly the majority (it was never really a minority) of England fans and the riot Police

11. The only advantage of the original 90 minutes lock in was that you got to see the magnificent Stadio Olympico. Unfortunately for us the riot Police that had been surrounding us and who had seen colleagues taken to hospital were not so magnificent.

10. As we celebrated our great result. The Players and Press left the Stadium, TV cameras turned off and removed. Now it was just us and the riot Police left in the Stadium. In total I was locked in the Stadium for 2.5 hours after the game. I had spent 6.5 hours in the Stadium.

9. England fans will remember that in injury time Ian Wright missed an open goal & then Italy had a last attack in which Christian Vieri put a header wide of the goal infront of us. The final whistle blew and we celebrated the draw that meant we had qualified for the 98 World Cup
