I relate to the feeling of “too busy to feel anxious”. how many workaholics start this way.
@bashu_thanks distraction, you can’t think about your anxiety if you’re focused on something else (requires you to be thinking about something that will require some medium degree of brainpower).

I’ve known for a long time that Graeber was mistaken in his conclusions, but I did not stop to consider that he might just be constantly lying.
Graeber claims on page 308 that the black death caused cities to default on their bonds in the 1400s, but he does not cite any source, and as far as i can find online, municipal bonds weren't invented at the time.

This is such a funny post. “I know a kink researcher and Sankey diagram enthusiast who showers monthly; she’s usually known pseudonymously by a mononym which I will refrain from sharing here to protect her privacy”.
I know a lady who's doing sex work in order to pay for having her eggs frozen. Weird how society and technology have gone all the way around to people having sex in order to reproduce.

Perhaps the most persuasive argument I have read against this view is "The Way of Kings":. - Habit precedes "heartfelt change".- Following a pre-existing "moral code" is like borrowing someone else's integrity (and leads to real integrity).
