Sheoldred is a fantastic design IMO. 4 mana threats without immediate impact need to be juiced, it's clean + simple (in a verbose world), strong by itself but also cares a lot what each player does + lets you chase small synergies like Loran/Mastermind or big dreams like Wheels
I don't think we talk enough about how incredibly unfun sheoldred, the apocolypse is.

If you are holding a large in-person event, there should be a proof of vaccination requirement as a bare minimum.

The Convoke deck won one Challenge and people who tweet a lot of hyperbole almost won some RCQs

In my experience "Spike brings 10/10 power level deck to casual table" is much rarer than "player with 7/10 deck weirdly upset about deck seen as 9/10 but actually 6/10, souring night for all" and the hardcore mono-Commander crowd is as narrow-minded a group as you'll find

Gentle reminder to cut the worst card in your deck and add a land. Repeat until you have at least 30 land. Cut bad SB cards for lands. Then you want cards that make extra land drops. Add ways to untap lands so you aren't playing third. Now you're ready for your next Modern tourna

My Round 6 opponent Kevin Juang got his 3rd unintentional draw of the tournament against me. Would have won on extra Turn 6 if the 100% obvious slow play warning had been issued at any point. These penalties are toothless when never enforced.
